My latest card is for my Daughter's Friend Lauren who will be 8 years old in May.  I've used the lovely Isabel's Bouquet image from artbymiran and coloured her with my Spectrum Noir markers.  Find the image here

The card itself is made out of pale green and pink card which are perfect colours for a Spring birthday, hope she loves it

Spectrum Noir colours used:

skirt/bow - DG1,2,3
Top - PP1,2,5
Bouquet - LV1,2,3
Flowers - CT1,2,4 and OR3
Hair - EB1,3,7
skin - FS1,3,4

Dies used:

Marianne collectables
Spellbinders Nestabilities
Cheery Lynn Designs
Xcut
Tattered Lace
Crafts-Too

I adore these images drawn by Mi Ran, I've had a few recently that seem to fit with a lot of the family/friends cards that I'm making.

The card design is another box that folds flat so that you can slip it in to an envelope if you don't want to make a box :)

I love the way that the flappable (if that's a good word for them) sides literally fall into shape when the box is opened out.

Another side view :)

And a little close up of the tiny embellishments.  I used a Crafts-Too die called Butterfly garden on the inside of the box and used the little butterflies on jewellery wire to decorate around the rest of the card.  Such a sweet little die that's becoming one of my favourites :)

This is how it will sit in the envelope/box

This is another Mother's Day card for my Mom from the kids this time.  I used Ceridwen from artbymiran and used a tutorial from Spectrum Noir on sepia colouring to colour this gorgeous image.  I'm sure I've mentioned before that I've only just started to colour using markers so I look at all of the tutorials I can for hints and tips

I'll have to add the list of papers and dies as I go......

I need a decent camera, the colours are washed out no matter what light I take the photos in

I am over the moon today.  I entered the candle card that I made for my Mom into a blog challenge and have been invited to be the GDT in April!

The challenge was the first blog challenge at artbymiran who is also the designer of the digi I used.  I've also won a new digi and got to chose a DT image so I now own two more gorgeous images to play with :)

See the challenge blog here and please come and add your creations

and here is my GDT badge, I'm very proud of this as it was the first challenge I have ever entered.  I can't work out how to add it onto my blog properly yet so I'm sat twiddling my thumbs waiting for a nice person to pop up on facebook and show me how lol

I coloured these gorgeous ladies today after following a tutorial from spectrum noir on sepia colouring.

I've made this box card for my youngest daughter's Birthday.  She wanted something 'fancy'............

I used a stunning artbymiran image called 'It's My Party' and coloured her with Spectrum Noir markers.  Find it here

The card folds flat so there is no need for a box, it just slips into an envelope.  I've decorated it with lots of dies and embellishments from the following:

Cheery Lynn Designs
Marianne Designs
Memory Box
Xcut
Crafts-Too
Hobby House
Hobby Crafts
DoCrafts

I couldn't seem to get a decent picture without shadows.............

Can you tell what her favourite colour is yet?

The last picture shows the box card folded flat ready to go into the envelope :)

This card will be my second entry into the artbymiran March challenge 'flowers.  Details here

I've started colouring these two beauties ready for my youngest daughter's birthday cards.  The top image is 'It's my Party' and the bottom image, Isabel's Bouquet, was a freebie from a facebook giveaway competition.

Both are from artbymiran and can be found here

The finished article, fingers crossed my Mom loves it cos I do :)

I had a few Spectrum Noir markers for Christmas that I'm slowly teaching myself to colour with and really wanted to use an image I had coloured myself on this project.

I've used a gorgeous digi from the talented Mi Ran that I bought recently and thought it was perfect for this gift.  Find the digi here

I always like to make something a little different from the normal flat cards and wanted to incorporate a gift into it somehow.  After buying the stunning 'Bashful Belinda' digi from Artbymiran I decided to bling up a candle and use the Sweet Treats board from Crafters Companion as a template for the card/box.

The list of dies used and a bit more info on the box is in the blog post below (WIP), the flowers are from various suppliers, the beads and gems are hand made and woven using my own jewellery stash.

This image shows the top of the open card and if you look closely you should just about see one of the inside pockets where the personal message to my Mom will sit.  This part is obviously private so you don't get to see the inside of the card lol

The next picture shows a little close up of Bashful Belinda.  I've used Spectrum Noir markers to colour her in.  I do only have a few markers as I'm in the process of building my collection, and I needed to use my Mom's favourite colours - purple and yellow, so the colours used were:-

Hair: TN2, GB8, GB10, EB5, EB8
Dress/Shoes: LV1, LV2, LV3
Flower: CT1, CT4, OR1
Skin: FS2, FS3, TN2, TN7 (blended back)

I absolutely adore this image!  I've tried to keep the hair and skin quite simple but give the dress a silky flow.......

This card will be my entry for:

Artbymiran March challenge 'Flower', details of which can be found here

This is a WIP card/boxed gift that I'm making for my Mom for Mother's day (she doesn't do computers so there's no fear of her seeing it).

I've used one of the sweet treats boards from Crafter's Companion as a basic template and spiced the shape up a little.  I added an acetate window so that the gift could be left on show inside the card and also left the top open so that the whole thing opens up like a card with sentiments hidden inside two invisible pockets.  I've used Xcut, Joy Crafts and Spellbinders dies to add a few flourishes amongst the flowers..........The front view :)

The side view :)

The other side  view :)

And no you aren't imagining seeing the untidiest craft space ever......it does get worse.  What you can't see is the Bigshot on the floor surrounded by offcuts and the mess behind me lol ;)

The finished article will be uploaded shortly.  Thanks for looking x

Some more lettering, this time it's for my cousin Adam's wedding gift.  He marries his fiancée Zoe in on 10th May this year.  I always struggle for gifts so I thought this might be something a little different and a bit more personal.......

So far I have just about finished decorating the lettering using Cadbury purple (their chosen colours), painted with white acrylics and stamped silver hearts.

As of yet it's unfinished but there will be a plaque with the wedding details and some sort of frame to finish it off :)
First blog post ever!

I've just started to blog so that I can join in and add to many of the fabulous crafting competitions, blogs and pages.  I have no idea where to start really and will assume that I'll get lots of things wrong, be very frustrated and want to launch the laptop at some point.........

My first crafty pictures are of some lettering that I made for my daughters bedroom.  I used paper mache letters and coloured them with acrylics.  Then I used a few embellishments to pretty them up a little.

At this point I've just finished decorating the ampersand (&) which I'll add soon :)
