DT card for Stamping Dragon Designs

Happy Friday and Happy 4th of July to my blogging friends who celebrate it.  I have some more exciting news to share with you today.  I have been accepted as a new DT member for Stamping Dragon Design, who are a really fab and friendly group of crafters.  Today is our new July challenge 'Easel Cards', and here is my offering:

I've used two beautiful ladies called Twenties Fashion and Vintage Lady 2 for my side stepper easel card.  As soon as I saw these ladies in the store I had my card made in my mind already I just needed the rest of me to catch up lol you know I love to play around with my card shapes :) and this one is made out of one continuous piece of card

I've coloured the Ladies with my Spectrum Noirs in a vintage style which is becoming one of my favourite colour palettes.  I've used papers from Joycrafts, which I also coloured and then matted to get the right tones to match my stunning Ladies.  I've also coloured white half pearl lace, and some clear gems to make sure they all blend well.

For my card I chose It's a Dragonfly

I've split the image and coloured the flowers and the wings of the dragonflies with Spectrum Noirs and made the bodies using beads and gems from my jewellery stash.  I've used dies from Memory Box, Xcut and a freebie die from a magazine, and a Happy Birthday stamp from LOTV

Crafty Sentiments GDT Card

Hi all, it's challenge time again over on Crafty Sentiments Designs Challenge Blog and I am thrilled to announce that I have been accepted as a GDT on Team A for about 6 months.  This weeks theme is 'Summer' or 'Summer Colours'.  The lucky winner will win this prize:

I chose to work with Annabel - Butterflies and Flowers.  The store has some absolutely beautiful stamps, digis and other crafting goodies with monthly new releases :)


I loved working with this image as it conjures images of running through open fields in the middle of summer chasing butterflies :) something I used to do as a child

I've made an easel card with a box underneath as I wanted the recipient to be able to have it as a keepsake as well as a card

I've coloured her with Spectrum Noirs and given her red fiery hair, great colours for summer.  This image shows the card and box closed up

This shows a close up of the beautiful CSD stamp and that fiery hair :)

I've filled the drawer with a stationery set and some handmade notelets to match the image on the card.  I did this by scanning my finished image into my computer and then used a programme I have to create the little notelets.  The opacity is set so that the image looks very faded on the paper

This was another project I've made myself using a pencil and ruler to work out the size and design and then I used my Ultimate Pro from Crafter's Companion and The Boxer board to score all of the lines and get a good fit for the inner drawer.  The box itself is roughly 6"x5" and 3" deep so the recipient should be able to fit quite a few precious things in it.

Tuesday Throwdown DT card

Hi and welcome to our new challenge on Tuesday Throwdown, 'Celebrations'.  Head over to the blog to find all of the details and challenge rules.  I've just joined the fab team at TT so this is my first DT card :)

This weeks sponsor is Milk Coffee who have some fantastic digis in their store.

For my DT project I've used Tiffany in the Wonderland and coloured her with spectrum noir markers.  As it's 'wonderland' I thought she needed a bit of a theme, so I've made the card a teapot and used other elements from Lewis Carroll's Alice in Wonderland stories

I've made my own teapot template, covered it in papers from LOTV, added a lock and key stamp from Kanban Crafts, a Happy Birthday stamp from LOTV and placed an acetate box in the middle of the card for the 'eat me' element, which contains Love Heart sweets.

CAS Birthday Card

Family birthday card from me today.  I have several female birthdays (Aunts and Cousins) this month and haven't quite decided who it's for yet.......I have a very large family so there's never a shortage of birthdays :)

I've used Lola Cabaret from Artbymiran for this card.  Find her here

I've used greyscale spectrum noir markers in the IG group to colour the image and then used a mix of DR and CR for the boa.  I wanted to give it texture so I played around a little with my technique and am happy with the results

Although it's CAS I still like to play around with my card shapes......

A close up of Lola Cabaret,  Hopefully you can see the technique used to create the texture on the boa.  I've used tiny black and red gems for the fascinator in her hair and larger gems around the rest of the card

Teacher Gift

Another teacher gift from me today.  This is for my Son's class Teacher, there are so many LSP's and mentors involved in his care.............I posted a couple of images I had coloured ready to make into gifts for my kids Teachers a few weeks ago
