Wow I'm neglecting my Blog!  :(

A quick post, but not a quick card lol I made this for my Mom to give to my cousin. 

I've used an image from Wee Stamps called Love Me Do and used a little inspiration from one of the DT at Whimsy Stamps, Mariska van der Veer.  Love the idea of using hearts around the card so I borrowed it :) but completely changed the design

This picture was the one I sent her to make sure she liked the card.  She took it before I could get some better pictures with the box etc

I've coloured the digi with Spectrum Noirs and prettied the card up with Spellbinders and Marianne dies and other bits and pieces from my stash

Mom loved the card and so did my Cousin and his Wife

Birthday Card

A family birthday card from me today using very bright colours!

I wanted bright red hair and a green dress and then found the fabby papers in my stash.  I've coloured the image from artbymiran called Gracie with my spectrum noir markers which I've had for around 4 months and love experimenting with colour combos:

Hair: BG9, EB4, DR7, DR3, CR8, CR10, OR1, FS9
Dress: GG5, JG7, JG3, BT4, BT2

I've used dies from xcut, memory box and Marianne Designs to pretty the card up along with flowers and gems from my stash

I made this into an easel card and embossed the under layer to keep it simple compared to the rest of the card....

This is my second bout of mojo for the free Lavinia Stamps today :)

Made the same way as my last post:

I've printed the background onto photo paper to give it a sheen and then stamped the fairy, mushrooms and fairydust with black ink

I've made the frame myself out of a piece of A3 card after sitting and working the measurements out last night

I've used xcut, crafts-too, Marianne designs and memory box dies along with flowers from my stash to pretty it up even more

I've got mojo for Lavinia today :)

It's a set of stamps that came free with Papercraft Essentials magazine and the background is a free download

I've printed the background onto photo paper to give it a sheen and then stamped the fairy, mushrooms and fairydust with black ink.  I've given the fairydust a little glitter :) and used acetate over the top of the whole picture so that it looks like a proper frame

Support Teacher card

It's that time of year for the dreaded Teacher cards.  I started to make mine a few weeks ago but haven't had chance to upload them until now

This is one for one of the staff at my Son's school, who has a huge part in his care :)

I've used an artbymiran image called Rosalie, find her here

I've coloured her with spectrum noir markers, used papers and card from my stash and used xcut, sizzix and memory box dies.

This shows the inside which should be a tealight box but I'm going to fill it with sweets.  It will hold 6 tealight candles, the full tutorial and template can be found here

Colin!

Quick blog post from me today.............

It's a revival!  I posted an arty farty rosylee cup a couple of weeks ago and now I've made a Colin :)

It's for my Cousin Adam and his Wife who were married about two hours ago :)

This is a matching money wallet made using a youtube tutorial.  It's folded so that the bottom opens out into a box when the two side panels are pulled apart.  It's very quick and easy to make which is the added bonus here.

This shows the inside of the card and the stamped sentiment I had free from a magazine.  I thought the words were really appropriate

I'm hoping to enter them into a couple of challenges, but that will have to wait until tomorrow.

Top 3

I haven't blogged for a couple of weeks due to the kid's school holidays, birthdays and a wedding in the family this week.  But, I had to share that I have my first ever top 3 pick for a challenge :)

The best part is it's from my favourite digi artist Mi Ran Jung.  I got top 3 in facebook April Challenge :) find her digi's here
